OLYMPIC OPENING 2012 – Elite symbolism – by Danny Boyle

The Director of the Olympic Opening in London 2012 Mr Danny Boyle has now given the game away to anyone who is interested, that he is - probably - a Freemason.

From the Olympic flame, the Rainbow motif and “All Seeing Eye” used for the Wenlock and Mandeville mascots and also the use of “The Tempest” in the opening ceremony, the London Olympics is said to having been full of Masonic symbology and the opening and closing ceremonies should include further occult symbology.

The lights adorning the main Olympic Stadium bear a striking resemblance to the Illuminati PYRAMID featured on U.S. dollar bills…

Furthermore it has been pointed out that he used his music from his Film "Sunshine". The Tune “all to heaven” in the part where all the English were looking up at the Olympic Sign that came down spitting out sparks, like they had just been forged by the Iron workers. With the Tree of Life in the background. They also appeared to have the image of UFO's coming down, Sky news pointed that out, as well.

There are already several pictures and videos hitting the internet of the 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony, discussing the elite and their symbols, that they are supposed to use different occult symbols, numbers, songs, etc.

But, the Olympic Ceremony coordinator Danny Boyle is very familiar with Masonic Mysteries and directing ritualistic workings, as he has been giving other Masonic references in his television productions before, such as the ones in the teveplay of Inspector Morse:

One of the episodes involved Morse performing in Mozart’s "Magic Flute". His supervisor, Chief Superintendent Strange, (played by James Grout), is a freemason, and the murderer uses Masonic symbolism in leaving clues.

But one of the most grand display’s was seen when all the thirteen (the number 13 that’s supposed to be an important number amongst freemasons) Masonic-style pyrmaids are seen rising above into the clouds.

Interesting? Well, there are many arguments and speculations anyhow, going around that the Olympics symbols ed are either Masonic or other secret societies like the Illuminati. These pyramids definitely make you wonder. These Masonic symbols sure find their way into a lot of events with millions watching, in that case. What do you think? Masonic influence? The opening ceremony to the 30th Olympiad was both wondrous and magical as the Director Danny Boyle had promised: a celebration of all that was supposed to be the best about Britain and all it has given the world. It also had lots of humour: a country whose monarch has the grace and dignity to lend her presence to a comedy sketch featuring her most famous fictional spy, and pretend to arrive in the Stadium via a Union flag parachute is a place that knows its own worth

Above all, Boyle had the assurance to ignore all the Olympic opening ceremonies that had gone before and fashion something quite different. He and his creative team constantly played with changes of scale and focus, filling the stadium with teeming life rather than beautifully presented automatons.

Even the fact that his performers were volunteers, and came therefore in the shapes, sizes and colours of ordinary members of the British public, rather than the sleek forms of professional dancers meant that for all its sophistication, the ceremony had the warmth of the real.

It started so quietly. Sheep, geese, and a cart horse ambled into an arena that was like a child’s picture book of a rural idyll: brightly coloured wild flowers, a bubbling stream, a cottage with a smoke puffing from the chimney, bee hives, poppies and peace.

As the scene came slowly to life, it was the detail that captivated, the boys playing cricket, the snatched kiss in a doorway, the girls dancing round a maypole. Elgar’s Nimrod – it had to be – provided the emotional soundtrack, while the audience unfurled blue silk to transform the centre of the stadium into an island.

There was almost too much to absorb, particularly when, suddenly and with a thunderous burst of percussion led by Evelyn Glennie, the scene changed and the grass rolled away as Kenneth Branagh’s Isambard Kingdom Brunel, in stovepipe hat and side burns, mellifluously pronounced those words from THE TEMPTEST that inspired Boyle’s new Jerusalem theme.

Chimneys pushed up through the dark stage, suddenly full of ant-like workers, slaving to forge a great circle of metal – raised aloft as one of five molten Olympic rings. The visceral excitement of that sequence was one of the highlights.

But it was entirely characteristic of Boyle’s sure grasp of changing mood, that the other came from the wonderful Saturday night sequence, where within the framework of a normal suburban family’s life, he presented a vivid overview of the greatest hits of British culture – with scenes from British movies such as Kes and A Matter of Life and Death illuminating a large plastic house and music from My Boy Lollipop through My Generation to Dizzee Rascal (live and singing Bonkers) providing the soundtrack for some vigorous dancing.

Here was Britain both big and small, urban and suburban, young and older. The Suffragettes, the unions and the Jarrow Marchers were all represented in a swift survey of the British history. But the shipping forecast and rural life were also there. The red-coated Chelsea pensioners marched alongside Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts, and the army, navy and air force were given as much respect as the NHS workers who pushed giant, brilliantly lit beds into the stadium.

The grouping they formed spelt GOSH – the Great Ormond Street Hospital - but also a suitable expression of the amazement it was impossible not to feel as one astonishing scene succeeded the next. Whether it was Lord Voldemort as A TOWERING PUPPET, or A GIANT SLEEPING BABY seemingly conjured out of thin air, or the flames of fire spurting upwards as Prodigy’s Firestarter surged on the soundtrack or the dancer Akram Khan whirring in space to Abide with Me, Danny Boyle’s control of his material seemed absolute.

After the athletes and the flags, came bicycles that looked like doves to a soundtrack provided by the Arctic Monkeys. That summed up the flavour of the night: quirky, emotional, and absolutely inspired.

Danny Boyle is an award-winning British director and producer, who started his career with theatre. He made his debut in the feature film industry in the year 1994, with the film 'Shallow Grave'. However, it was his second film 'Trainspotting', released in 1996, through which he rose to fame. One of England's most famous breakthrough talents of the 1990s, Danny Boyle has been in the industry for less than two decades, but has still managed to garner much success and acclaim for himself.

Danny Boyle was born on 20th October 1956, in Radcliffe, Lancashire, England, into a working-class Irish Catholic family. Though his father was born in England, he belonged to an Irish family. On the other hand, his mother was from Ballinasloe, Co Galway. In the early years of his life, Boyle pondered over the thought of becoming a priest and even attended religious school as a teenager. Later, after being discouraged by a priest, he completed his education from Thornleigh Salesian College in Bolton and University of Wales, Bangor.

CAREER IN THEATRE
Danny Boyle started his career as a theatre artiste, with the Joint Stock Theatre Company. Thereafter, he joined Royal Court Theatre, where he served as an Artistic Director from 1982 to 1985 and as Deputy Director from 1985 to 1987. During the period lasting from 1982 to 1987, his productions included Howard Barker's Victory, Howard Brenton's The Genius and Edward Bond's Saved. The last production won the 'Time Out Award'. In the following years, he also directed five productions for the Royal Shakespeare Company.

TELEVISION CAREER
Danny Boyle made his debut on television, in 1980, as a producer for BBC Northern Ireland. He produced a number of TV films for the channel, including Alan Clarke's controversial 'Elephant'. With time, he moved on to become a director on shows such as 'Arise And Go Now', 'Not Even God Is Wise Enough', 'For The Greater Good', 'Scout' and even two episodes of 'Inspector Morse'. Apart from that, Boyle can also be credited with the highly commended BBC2 series, 'Mr. Wroe's Virgins'.

ENTRY IN FILMS
Danny Boyle entered the feature film industry in 1994, with his directorial debut being 'Shallow Grave'. Though a small-scale film, it was well-received by the audience. His next film 'Trainspotting', released in 1996, was based on the novel by Irvine Welsh. Not only was the film a great commercial success, it is also regarded as one of the most influential and iconic British films of all times, till date. Following this, he moved to Hollywood, with the aim of seeking a production deal with a major US studio.
Boyle was offered the chance to direct the fourth film of the Alien franchise. However, he turned it down and, using British finance, made 'A Life Less Ordinary' (1997). After lying low for the next three years, he came up with 'The Beach' (2000), an adaptation of the cult novel of the same name. The year 2001 saw him directing two TV movies for the BBC - 'Vacuuming Completely Nude In Paradise' and 'Strumpet'. In 2002, he made the post-apocalyptic zombie film '28 Days Later', in collaboration with author Alex Garland.

Boyle directed a short film 'Alien Love Triangle' in 2002. It was intended to be one of three shorts within a feature film. However, when the two other shorts - 'Mimic' and 'Impostor' were made into feature films, the project was shelved. Two years later, he was seen directing 'Millions'. This was followed by his science-fiction film 'Sunshine', which was released in 2007. Boyle hit the jackpot with 'Slumdog Millionaire', a 2008 film which won five awards at Critics Choice Award and four awards at Golden Globe Awards.
